Sausage Gnocchi Bake

Today I’m sharing this savory one pot gnocchi bake that is perfect to cozy up to at the end of the day.

Ingredients

Ground sausage

Tomato paste

Red wine (or more broth)

Broth

Gnocchi

Cheese

Sausage Gnocchi Bake

Servings: 5-6

Cook time: 30 minutes

Measurements

1 lb ground sausage

1/2 C tomato paste

1/2 red wine (or more broth)

1 C broth

16 oz gnocchi

Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F and brown sausage in an oven safe dish.
  2. Add tomato paste, cooking until it starts sticking to the pan.
  3. Deglaze the pan with red wine and chicken broth, bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Once your sauce is boiling, add gnocchi and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Top the mixture with a blend of mozzarella and parmesan cheese and transfer to the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Plan of Action

If you aim to serve dinner at 5 PM, start browning your sausage at 4:30 PM. I prefer to serve this dinner with a fresh side salad, and arrange everything on the dining table family style.
