Hello, welcome. Thank you so much for being here!
Today I’m sharing a deliciously easy ranch dressing substitute made with Greek yogurt!
I love a from-scratch recipe that uses typical, everyday ingredients already in my house – nothing that requires a trip to the store. This easy, homemade ranch dressing alternative is 1) quick to make and 2) easy to whip up with ingredients you probably already have on hand.
Use this as a dip for fresh veggies or pizza crust or as a dressing for your salad. It’s also a great addition to dress up a wrap or sandwich.
Since my kids love ranch dressing, I’m thankful I have this healthy alternative - which they adore just as much as the original dressing.

How to make Ranch Dressing from Scratch
Prep time: 2 minutes
Measurements*
1/2 C greek yogurt
2-4 TBSP water**
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dill weed, dried
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
*If you’re looking for less tang, then reduce salt and apple cider vinegar by half.
**If you’re making a veggie dip or spread, then I’d recommend 2 TBSP of water. If you’re mixing a smoother salad dressing, I’d recommend 4 TBSPs.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into your mixing bowl.
- Mix well and serve.
Plan of Action
I typically make this dressing to order – whether that’s during my dinner prep, or for afternoon snack time. Our family loves this dressing so much that we can’t keep it in the freezer for longer than 3 days. I would recommend using it within 7 days of making it.
