How to Clean Your Instant Pot

Hello, welcome! Thank you so much for being here.

Today I’m sharing an easy way to remove stains and restore shine to your Instant Pot – all with products you probably already have around your home.

The Instant Pot is one of my most used kitchen tools.

I’ve made bone broth, softened dry beans, incubated yogurt, and cooked roasts - all in my InstaPot!

With all of that use comes quite a bit of wear and tear in the form of dark food and water stains. Now these stains have been cooked onto the metal, so, unfortunately, a simple soapy scrub just doesn’t do the trick.

However, there is a simple solution – with traditional household items – that will return your Instant Pot to its shiny, pre-loved condition. So keep reading!

How to Clean Your Instant Pot

Tools you may need

1 Scrubber*

Ingredients list

White vinegar

Water

Baking soda

*Avoid steel wool.

Measurements

1 C white vinegar

1 C water

3 TBSP baking soda

Directions

1. Add water and vinegar to the Instant Pot.

2. Set pressure cook for 3 minutes.

3. Manually release pressure. Manually releasing the pressure helps to clean out the pressure sealer in the lid.

4. Inside the slightly damp pot, coat the base in baking soda. Beware of the reaction of baking soda and vinegar.

5. Use your scrubber or sponge to buff off the dark food and water stains. The food and water stains should scrub right off with minimal elbow grease!

Thank you so much for your time!
